Cloud channel standout DoiT is continuing its executive hiring spree in 2025 with the appointment of Citigroup’s cloud director Amit Kinha to drive the company’s FinOps business.

Cloud channel star DoiT continues to invest heavily in acquisitions and hiring top talent in 2025 including today’s hire of Citigroup’s director of cloud FinOps, Amit Kinha, who will lead DoiT’s FinOps innovation and strategy.

“This is the type of world-class talent and expertise driving our technology development,” said DoiT CEO Vadim Solovey in an email to CRN. “Amit possesses formidable FinOps experience, along with a vision that anticipates and ushers in the future of cloud platforms.”

Santa Clara, Calif.-based DoiT, a top AWS, Microsoft and Google Cloud solution provider, is tasking Kinha with guiding DoiT’s overall cloud strategy and roadmap as its new global field chief technology officer (CTO).

Kinha joins DoiT from financial services giant Citigroup, where he was director and head of cloud FinOps, in charge of leading product and engineering efforts to build in-house FinOps tooling, optimizing multi-cloud spending and Citigroup’s broader cloud strategy.

Prior to Citigroup, Kinha worked for investment and financial behemoth Goldman Sachs as a software engineer, where he helped deliver projects like the Apple Card and the company’s online platform Marcus.

“FinOps isn’t just about cost anymore—it’s about control, speed and unlocking smarter decisions at scale,” said Kinha in a statement. “DoiT is rewriting the rules of what’s possible in cloud financial management. I’m excited to help shape a platform that doesn’t just react to cloud spend—it predicts, governs and elevates cloud strategy into a business advantage.”

DoiT Executive Hiring Spree

Kinha’s hiring comes as DoiT invests heavily in buying top talent and companies in 2025.

The company recently hired Beeline’s former chief revenue officer Steve Lewis as its new vice president of global enterprise sales, as well as longtime marketing veteran Kurt Heinemann as vice president of global marketing.

DoiT also recently hired EY’s former head of product Ryan Pugatch as its new vice president of product management; along with FinOps and financial veteran Tyler Cyphers as vice president of financial operations.

$250 Million Acquisition Fund; Buys PerfectScale And LiveDiagrams

This year, DoiT established a $250 million fund dedicated to acquiring companies specializing in autonomous cloud optimization, AI-driven CloudOps, and cloud reliability, performance, and security.

DoiT was able to create the fund thanks to a 40 percent increase in annual revenue in 2024, year over year.

In January, DoiT boosted its FinOps and cloud optimization capabilities with the acquisition of cloud visualization and software analysis startup LiveDiagrams. DoiT said LiveDiagrams will provide customers of its Cloud Intelligence solution with advanced functionality to map, monitor and optimize their cloud architectures.

In February, DoiT acquired Kubernetes platform company PerfectScale in a move to create next-level solutions around FinOps and containerized workloads that run on Kubernetes. PerfectScale will enable DoiT customers to better manage, secure and optimize containerized workloads that run on Kubernetes at scale.

An award-winning strategic partner of AWS, Google Cloud and Microsoft Azure, DoiT specializes in Kubernetes, GenAI, CloudOps and FinOps with over 4,000 customers globally.
