New strategic VAR agreement unlocks long-range infrared charging for enterprise customers across industrial equipment, factory automation, logistics, retail, healthcare, and more

TEL AVIV, Israel and TOKYO, September 3, 2025 /PRNewswire/ — Wi-Charge, the global leader in long-range wireless power, has signed a new value-added reseller (VAR) agreement with Tokyo-based Marubun Corporation. This agreement marks a significant step in expanding Wi-Charge’s presence across Asia and delivering truly wireless power solutions to businesses and consumers in Japan.

“Japan is a global leader in both innovation and cutting-edge technology, and our over-the-air wireless power solutions align perfectly with the country’s demand for clean, aesthetic, and future-forward solutions,” said Ori Mor, Co-Founder and Chief Business Officer at Wi-Charge. “Marubun’s reputation, reach, and technical strength make them an ideal partner to bring wireless power to a market that values leadership,  performance and precision.”

The two companies will collaborate on go-to-market strategy, vertical targeting, and integration support. The partnership will initially focus on commercial and industrial use cases where consistent power delivery, costly wiring, visual cleanliness, and battery maintenance are pain points.

Wi-Charge’s core technology, AirCord™, delivers watts of safe, infrared power across room-sized distances. That means no batteries to swap and no wires to run—just real power delivered invisibly through the air. It’s already being deployed globally in applications like smart locks, digital signage, tablets, retail displays, and IoT sensors.

“We’re excited to add Wi-Charge’s groundbreaking technology to our portfolio,” said Hajime Ochi at Marubun. “Their distance wireless power solutions open the door to new applications and experiences for our customers in industrial automation, medtech, smart infrastructure, and beyond.”

Marubun has a long-standing track record of providing cutting-edge global technology to the Japanese enterprise and public sector markets. Founded in 1844, the firm is one of the most respected names in Japan’s electronics distribution ecosystem, with technical teams that support implementation and customization across sectors.

More details on launch timing, target industries, and early customer deployments will be shared in the coming months.
