‘We’re excited to see what it drives,’ says Scott Whitley, CRO of Centroid Systems.

Oracle solution provider Centroid Systems has launched a new strategic partnership with Stellar Cyber to bring managed security services to Oracle users.

Bringing to market a security operations platform integrated with Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI), the Fusion enterprise application suite and other Oracle products addresses a gap in the market and becomes more important as customers adopt new artificial intelligence tools and add to cyber threat considerations, Scott Whitley, CRO of Troy, Mich.-based Centroid, told CRN in an interview.

“We’re excited about the partnership,” Whitley said. “We’re excited to see what it drives.”

Centroid, Stellar Cyber

San Jose, Calif.-based Stellar Cyber has about 450 worldwide channel partners, according to CRN’s 2025 Channel Chiefs.

Andrew Homer, Stellar Cyber channel chief and vice president of strategic alliances, told CRN in an interview that the new offer saves OCI users from bolt-on security features and brings them a 24-hour Security Operations Center that works in multi-cloud environments.

Stellar Cyber also works with Microsoft Azure, Amazon Web Services and Google Cloud, Homer said. “There isn’t a single SIEM [security information and event management] or NDR [network detection response] provider that has deeper integrations than Stellar Cyber,” he said.

Migrating to the cloud may come with benefits over on-premises environments, but it creates new threat opportunities that the new Centroid service can guard against, he said. The solution provider is also well-positioned to address growing AI sprawl and meet the growing need by enterprises for service-oriented security, even if that service is amplifying an existing internal IT department.

“By having a specialized services provider now co-managing those customers’ environments, it just further reduces the risk, helps them decrease the cost,” Homer said. “Ultimately, at the end of the day, companies don’t want to be breached.”

Stellar Cyber also provides a threat intelligence platform; intrusion detection system; security orchestration, automation and response; and user and entity behavior analytics for full visibility into IT and security environments, according to the vendor.

Centroid’s new MSSP service includes unified security operations, real-time AI-driven threat detection and a custom-built OCI Connector that integrates across Oracle Cloud Guard, Data Safe, Firewall and more. The service also leverages predefined playbooks for swift action against identified threats, reducing the window of vulnerability, according to the company.
