ENGLEWOOD CLIFFS, N.J., Aug. 24, 2026 /PRNewswire/ — LG Electronics (LG) today announced U.S. availability for its latest UltraGear™ gaming monitor (model 25G590B), priced at $999.99. As the world’s first Full HD (FHD / 1,920 x 1,080) gaming monitor with a native 1000Hz refresh rate2, the new UltraGear model delivers the speed, clarity and consistency needed for competitive gaming.

To celebrate its launch, customers who pre-order by August 31, 2026, can receive two years of LG Premium Care for $1 and earn 5% back in MyLG Rewards.

As the world’s first Full HD (FHD / 1,920 x 1,080) gaming monitor with a native 1000Hz refresh rate, the new UltraGear model delivers the speed, clarity and consistency needed for competitive gaming.

As the world’s first Full HD (FHD / 1,920 x 1,080) gaming monitor with a native 1000Hz refresh rate, the new UltraGear model delivers the speed, clarity and consistency needed for competitive gaming.

Built with fast-paced first-person shooter (FPS) titles in mind, the 25G590B features a 25-inch display size widely favored in esports, allowing players to track opponents and scan the in-game environment efficiently to support faster reaction times and sharper tactical decision-making. An integrated FPS Counter adds another layer of performance visibility, giving players real-time data on how smoothly every frame is loading, whether they’re deep in competitive play, editing content or watching a movie.

World’s First Native 1000Hz at 1080p Monitor for Enhanced Motion Clarity
The new LG UltraGear gaming monitor sets a new benchmark for competitive play, pairing a native 1000Hz refresh rate with 1080p resolution to deliver the smoothness, motion clarity and responsiveness today’s gamers demand. As the first available monitor to achieve native 1000Hz at FHD resolution right out of the box1, unlike dual-mode monitors that require toggling settings to unlock peak refresh rates, it moves the technology beyond prototype-level demonstrations and lets tournament contenders train and compete under the same consistent conditions every time. The monitor’s Dynamic Action Sync technology further minimizes input lag for faster reactions, with performance that shines brightest in FPS games where accurate aiming and near-instantaneous visual confirmation are key to victory.

The new UltraGear gaming monitor also takes motion clarity to the next level with Motion Blur Reduction Pro, LG’s advanced technology built to give players less blur and more control during fast-paced gameplay. By making moving objects appear sharper and easier to track, MBR Pro5 helps players follow rapid lateral movement with greater ease, lock onto targets with improved precision and stay focused through the most intense moments of competitive esports play. The monitor further supports fluid, virtually tear-free performance with NVIDIA® G-SYNC® Compatible and AMD FreeSync™ Premium, ensuring smooth, low-latency gameplay at high refresh rates so every frame stays sharp. Paired with an advanced IPS panel and low-reflection film, the monitor further elevates gaming immersion, offering exceptional color consistency and heightened visibility while drastically reducing glare.

25-Inch Display for Esports and Competitive Gaming
The 25G590B centers its design around a 25-inch FHD display, a size that has become a gold standard among competitive gamers, letting players take in the entire screen without shifting their gaze and keeping every enemy, icon and cue within easy reach when reflexes matter most. That same attention to detail carries through to the monitor’s physical build, with a sleek, minimalist stand that gives the setup a clean look while taking up very little desk space, leaving players free to move their mouse without obstruction.

Calibration markings etched into the stand allow for quick, repeatable adjustments to height, swivel and tilt, so a favorite setup can be recreated in seconds. Smaller design choices round out the experience, including a built-in hook for neatly storing headsets within arm’s reach and the glow of the UltraGear Emblem lighting, which brings a customizable ambient touch that nods to the brand’s signature aesthetic.

AI-Powered Features for More Immersive, Focused Gameplay
The 25G590B goes beyond raw speed with on-device gaming AI features designed to sharpen both immersion and usability. AI Scene Optimization brings added realism and depth to every scene, intelligently adjusting picture settings, while AI Sound delivers a more authentic spatial audio experience along with clearer in-game communications when paired with a compatible headset. Together, these intelligent capabilities work in step with the monitor’s ultra-fast performance, rounding out an ideal platform built for competitive gaming.

1 Based on published specifications of the gaming monitor segment as of May 2026.
2 Performance based on internal testing. Maximum refresh rate of up to 1000Hz (1100Hz O/C) requires Windows 11 operating system, NVIDIA RTX 50 series, or AMD Radeon™ RX 9070, 9060 or 7900, series (or newer) and connection via DisplayPort 2.1. Actual 1000Hz performance may be affected by various external factors, including PC specifications (CPU, GPU, memory), game-specific frame rate limitations, operating system version, and graphics driver version. Overclocked 1100HZ operation may limit Adaptive-Sync functionality, as AMD FreeSync™ Premium is not supported and NVIDIA G-SYNC® compatibility is only certified at 1000Hz.
3 Based on expert insights from RTINGS and Screen Size Checker.
4 AMD FreeSync Premium and NVIDIA G-SYNC compatibility are disabled when MBR Pro is enabled.
