“Our customers and partners all benefit from the deeper integration that we are seeing between VCF and [Anthropic] frontier models, which is fueling private cloud AI projects,” says 11:11 CRO Dante Orsini.
As Anthropic eyes its blockbuster IPO, Broadcom is lending Anthropic up to $42 billion to finance its infrastructure spending—giving Broadcom and VMware a huge role in Anthropic’s infrastructure future.
“We are already seeing the benefit of Anthropic and Broadcom’s early collaboration with Anthropic’s Claude Mythos to harden VCF [VMware Cloud Foundation],” said Dante Orsini, chief revenue and strategy officer at 11:11 Systems, a global VMware by Broadcom partner.
“They were one of the first to partner with Anthropic for security purposes and I can only imagine what will come of this latest $42 billion announcement as the pace of innovation is staggering,” said Orsini (pictured).
Broadcom’s $42 billion financing commitment is huge because Anthropic stands to become Broadcom’s largest chip customer next year.
Broadcom expects its AI semiconductor revenue to reach approximately $115 billion in fiscal 2027, then grow to $230 billion in fiscal 2028.
“Our customers and partners all benefit from the deeper integration that we are seeing between VCF and [Anthropic] frontier models, which is fueling private cloud AI projects,” 11:11’s CRO said.
“So as a VMware cloud service provider, we love to see Broadcom’s continued success and investment in the AI sector,” he said.
Broadcom has a $118 billion annual revenue run rate.
Both Broadcom and Anthropic declined to comment on the matter.
Anthropic IPO Could See $2 Trillion Valuation
According to Reuters, Anthropic’s IPO could value the company at more than $2 trillion.
The massive valuation comes after Anthropic reported a net loss of around $42 billion in 2025.
The partnership between Broadcom and Anthropic already spans computing supply, financing and chip leasing.
In April, Anthropic expanded its partnership with Broadcom and Google to give Anthropic access to multiple gigawatts of TPU compute capacity beginning in 2027.
“Anthropic, beginning in 2027, will access through Broadcom approximately 3.5 gigawatts as part of the multiple gigawatts of next-generation TPU-based AI compute capacity committed by Anthropic,” said Broadcom in April.
Last month, Broadcom generated a record $29.6 billion in revenue for the third quarter of 2026, up 86 percent year over year.
“Demand for our custom AI accelerators and networking continues to be very strong,” said Broadcom CEO Hock Tan during the company’s earnings report.
“Q3 AI semiconductor revenue of $16.7 billion grew 221 percent year-over-year, and 54 percent quarter-over-quarter,” Tan said. “In Q4 the momentum continues, and we expect AI semiconductor revenue to accelerate to $21.7 billion, up 236 percent year-over-year.”
The company generated $14.2 billion in cash from operations and saw $13.7 billion of free cash flow, representing 46 percent of revenue.
America’s Data Center Infrastructure Buildout
America’s data center capacity will double over the next three years with over 700 data centers already in the pipeline in the U.S. alone, according to Synergy Research Group.
“The U.S. will continue to account for over half of the world’s data center capacity, and total U.S. capacity will double over the next three years,” said John Dinsdale, chief analyst and managing director at Synergy Research Group, in a recent email to CRN.
Synergy Research Group’s data shows that the more than 700 U.S.-based data center facilities that are in the pipeline will support 45 gigawatts of new capacity over the next few years.
