‘The AI era has fully transformed the environments that customers are dealing with. It’s helped drive huge productivity opportunities and ways to transform organizations, but it’s also brought a completely new dimension to the threat landscape,’ says CyberSentriq CEO Myles Bray.
Microsoft 365 cybersecurity vendor CyberSentriq on Thursday launched an AI-powered cybersecurity and data resilience platform, bringing together email security, M365 backup and recovery, and email archiving into one place.
The goal of the SentriqAI platform is to give MSPs one environment for preventing threats, protecting customer data and recovering from attacks, rather than managing separate security products.
For Myles Bray, CEO of the Galway, Ireland-based vendor, the timing reflects a change in how cyberattacks are being carried out.
“The AI era has fully transformed the environments that customers are dealing with,” Bray told CRN. “It’s helped drive huge productivity opportunities and ways to transform organizations, but it’s also brought a completely new dimension to the threat landscape.”

MSPs’ reliance on multiple vendors can create more gaps for threat actors, particularly AI-driven attackers, he said.
SentriqAI brings security and data protection into a single operating environment through one user interface, one API and a shared data layer, reducing the time MSPs spend switching between products and manually coordinating security, backup, recovery and compliance tasks.
“We see hours and hours of savings that they can get to,” he said. “When you exacerbate that across an MSP’s landscape, you’ve got a situation where, if they’ve got multiple products and they’re bringing that together into their own SIEM (security information and event management) and SOC (security operations center) operating platforms, the moment that you start putting that onto a single platform like ours, there can be huge amounts of savings…hours and days of operator time.”
The need is becoming more urgent as AI is making attacks harder to spot, giving cybercriminals the ability to quickly research targets and launch phishing and impersonation campaigns in minutes.
“The level of sophistication we’re seeing from attackers is frankly pretty scary,” the CEO said. “Historically, it would have taken significant focus, significant time, research and even money for the attacker to really deeply investigate an individual or an organization to give a really good impersonation.”
SentriqAI uses behavioral analysis to establish normal email patterns for individual organizations and identify anomalies, including potential impersonation attempts. It evaluates signals such as sender, domain, authentication, links, intent and historical behavior, while providing technicians with context explaining why a threat was flagged.
The platform also distinguishes between tasks it can perform autonomously and those where AI assists human decision-making. Phishing quarantine and backup restoration can operate autonomously, while threat investigation and policy recommendations remain AI-assisted.
For MSPs managing Microsoft 365 environments, SentriqAI provides backup and recovery for Exchange Online, OneDrive, SharePoint, Teams and Entra ID, with recovery options ranging from individual items and mailboxes to entire workloads.
For Antwine Jackson, the value is about reducing the number of products MSPs have to manage.
“Instead of going through multiple panes of glass and multiple vendors, you’re able to consolidate the same services,” Jackson, president and founder of Raleigh, North Carolina-based Enitech, told CRN. “Not only from a cost-saving standpoint, but from a response standpoint and an operational standpoint. So we’re getting time back, and that’s the biggest benefit.”
By combining security, backup and archiving, Jackson said the platform can give MSPs another way to respond faster while potentially lowering costs for customers.
“Any vendor that’s coming into the space to allow MSPs to respond faster, more efficiently and effectively, and provide a go-to-market price point that’s affordable for end users and customers, it’s a win all day,” he said.
Looking ahead, CyberSentriq plans to expand the platform with additional backup, email, web security and security awareness capabilities while continuing to build out its AI layer.
For Bray, the larger opportunity is making AI operational for MSPs rather than simply adding another AI feature to the security stack.
“It’s fundamentally one of simplicity,” Bray said. “It’s about driving a multitude of services onto a single platform and preparing themselves and their customers to help protect them from the AI challenge that we live with today.”
