St. Louis company’s new service shows on-site security where a cellphone 911 caller is and shares the security team’s contact information with the 911 center
ST. LOUIS, Oct. 28, 2026 /PRNewswire/ — 9Line, a St. Louis technology company, today launched 9Line Pinpoint, which detects the location of 911 calls placed from cellphones inside a geofenced property and alerts the organization’s on-site security team within seconds of the call occurring.
More than 80 percent of 911 calls now come from wireless devices, according to NENA: The 9-1-1 Association. While landlines and connected campus phone systems can alert on-site staff when someone dials 911, cellphone calls have long remained a blind spot.

In a year-long national analysis of more than 1.7 million calls from 485 agencies, research published in JAMA Surgery found emergency medical service units average 8 minutes from the time of a 911 call to arrival on scene, with nearly 1 in 10 rural encounters waiting almost a half-hour. On a large property, an on-site team that knows a 911 caller’s location can begin rendering aid before outside responders arrive and can guide responders to the right place when they do.
