WILMINGTON, Del., Oct. 29, 2026 /PRNewswire/ — ReelRecs, the free movie and TV recommendation app, today reported an average of 3 minutes 24 seconds from opening the app to choosing a streaming-service link, among visits that reached that step. That is about three times faster than the 10.5 minutes viewers spent deciding what to watch in Nielsen’s separate 2023 State of Play survey benchmark.
The finding speaks to a familiar frustration: spending the evening browsing instead of watching. Nielsen also found that one in five viewers abandoned a viewing session when they could not find something compelling.
