Shaw is a technology sales veteran with executive leadership roles at AT&T, American Express Global Business Travel, and Accenture, prior to joining Equinix in 2019.
“I love Equinix. The reason I love it so much is because of the incredible culture that exists here and the commitment of our people,” Shaw said in a video that was posted to LinkedIn announcing her move into the new role. “And for me, being a servant leader and being able to support an even larger group of people and to have a meaningful impact in supporting each person to be successful and to feel that they’re valued and that they matter and that their work is significant is what is most exciting to me,”
While her new job at the Redwood City, Calif.-based company begins immediately, she will also help transition the new senior vice president of Americas sales into that role through the end of the third quarter, Equinix said in a statement. Shaw is a technology sales veteran with prior executive leadership roles at AT&T, American Express Global Business Travel, and Accenture, prior to joining Equinix in 2019.

CRN has reached out to Equinix to speak with Shaw about the new role.
On her LinkedIn profile, Shaw said she has extensive technology, operational and organizational experience across global, national, and regional markets, including experience leading through technology shifts, mergers and acquisitions, and organizational transformation.
“Arquelle is a dynamic and proven leader with a deep understanding of the customer journey and a strong track record of driving transformational growth,” Equinix Chief Business Officer Jon Lin said in a statement. “As President, Americas, she takes on a critical role—one that demands the ability to align global strategy with regional nuance while uniting diverse countries, cultures and teams under a shared vision.”
He said Shaw earned the role of president by continually delivering outstanding revenue results across the Americas’ sales team, focusing the company’s go-to-market strategy, enriching the company’s customer relationships and speeding up growth across the US, Latin American and Canada.
Equinix has been on a winning streak. During its April 30 earnings call, the company upped its guidance to as high as $9.27 billion in revenue for the fiscal year after its first quarter results came in stronger than expected. The company added 300 new global customers in that quarter. It expects to see revenue of between $2.24 and $2.26 billion when it reports its second quarter results on July 30.
Equinix described Shaw as a “champion for diversity, equity and social causes.” Shaw was appointed to the board of directors for the Equinix foundation in April 2023. The organization seeks to advance digital inclusion through access to technology and connectivity to enable the development of digital skills that can be translated into meaningful careers.
