After less than a year as President of global Customer Experience of Google Cloud, Hayete Gallot has departed the $61 billion cloud company.

After spending 16 years as a top Microsoft executive, Hayete Gallot has left Google Cloud after less than one-year as Google’s global President of Customer Experience.

The $61 billion cloud giant moved several teams under Gallot when she was initially hired in early 2025 with the goal of driving more Google AI and cloud customer adoption.

Gallot led Google Cloud’s multi-billion-dollar commercial business, leading all customer-facing teams including global customer engineering, global partner ecosystem and channels, strategic accounts, Google’s innovation centers, and consulting and learning services.

“I am focused on helping [Google] customers go from idea to business value as quickly as possible,” says Gallot in her LinkedIn profile.

Google unveiled Gallot’s hiring in February 2025 and she officially began her new role in April.

“By putting these teams under a single leader [Gallot], our goal is to help customers go from idea to business value as quickly as possible,” said Google Cloud in a statement to CRN last year regarding Gallot’s new role. “This is especially critical with AI, as it requires a highly consultative approach, with a deep focus on business processes and outcomes.”

Mountain View, Calif.-based Google confirmed to CRN that Gallot has departed Google but did not provide more details.

According to a report by Business Insider, Gallot is leaving to pursue a new job outside of Google.

Gallot reported directly to Google Cloud’s President of Global Revenue Matt Renner. She could not be reached for comment by press time.

Gallot’s Long Microsoft Career

Gallot had a long history at Microsoft, working in top executive roles from 2009 until joining Google in 2025.

She was Microsoft’s corporate vice president of commercial solutions when she departed to join Google.

“In that role, I built and owned the end-to-end go-to-market plan for the commercial segment (enterprise, corporate, and SMB); led solution selling for all Microsoft products; and drove incubation of new products and managed Microsoft’s more than 150 innovation centers worldwide,” she said on LinkedIn.

Other top positions Gallot held at Microsoft over the years included corporate vice president of Modern Work and Security; general manager of Chief of Staff for Microsoft Global Sales and Marketing; and general manager of growth for Microsoft Office.

Before joining Microsoft, she worked at telecom firm Nortel for over 10 years.
