Fallon, who joined HPE in November 2022 after 20 years at Cisco, takes over as the leader of worldwide channel and partner ecosystem networking sales.

HPE Juniper Channel Chief Gordon Mackintosh, who was tapped six months ago to head the combined HPE Juniper global networking partner business, is being replaced by HPE Juniper Vice President Commercial Networking Sales leader Ben Fallon.

Fallon, who joined HPE in November 2022 after 20 years at Cisco, takes over as the leader of worldwide channel and partner ecosystem networking sales as HPE Juniper mounts a massive channel sales assault to grab networking market share from market leader Cisco.

HPE said Mackintosh is pursuing an opportunity outside HPE Juniper.

Fallon (pictured above), who was previously vice president of global partner and commercial sales for Juniper, will report to HPE Senior Vice President Worldwide Channel and Partner Ecosystem Leader Simon Ewington.

In a prepared statement, Ewington said he wanted to personally thank Mackintosh for his “outstanding leadership and partnership during the Juniper integration with HPE and wish him every success” in his next chapter.

“Together, we’ve built a strong foundation for Ben to lead us and our networking channel forward,” said Ewington. “Ben has deep channel focus, expertise, and proven track record that make him the right leader to build on our momentum and help our partners capture the opportunity from our networking innovations and across the full HPE portfolio.”

Mackintosh, who has been at the helm of the Juniper channel for the last six years, told CRN in July that he was excited about the opportunity to help lead the charge in what he viewed as a “defining moment” for the networking industry.

HPE partners said they were sorry to see Mackintosh move on, but excited about the deep channel and networking sales knowledge that Fallon brings to the table.

Darren Raiguel, chief operating officer at ePlus, No. 30 on the 2025 CRN SP500, said Mackintosh has done a “good job” supporting partners, but stressed that Fallon’s strong channel and sales background will be key to driving the networking business forward.

“Ben has a good track record at multiple OEMs so he understands different programs and he has been on the end user sales side too so he’ll be able to hit the ground running,” said Raiguel.

Fallon’s experience with both channel and end user sales expertise will be key in driving tight channel sales alignment between partners and the HPE Juniper networking sales force, said Raiguel.

“Field, channel and sales alignment is huge,” he said. “When you have alignment you spend more time enabling customers and delivering business outcomes.”

Jay Miley, president and CEO of Myriad360, a top HPE partner, said Fallon is a proven channel leader who will make the transition “seamless” for partners.

“HPE Juniper is doing all the right things,” he said. “We are a large Juniper partner and have been impressed by everything HPE Juniper is doing. Ben brings the right mix of internal and marketplace knowledge. This is a smart move by HPE to give Ben the reins. I wish Gordon success in whatever he does next.”

Miley said Myriad360’s HPE Juniper business was up high double-digits in 2025 and he expects continued double-digit growth in 2026. “We feel very bullish on where this is headed,” he said. “The market is expanding. The AI data center buildout is bringing a lot of momentum. The combined HPE Juniper portfolio is ripe to win. I am confident that Ben and the rest of the HPE leadership team will make the right moves so we can continue to be successful.”
