The addition of Redjack’s technology will expand the capabilities of the Lansweeper platform to provide more data about network connections and application dependencies – key for cybersecurity and disaster recovery tasks.
Lansweeper, developer of a popular IT asset management and network discovery platform, has acquiring Redjack, which develops technology used to collect data about IT asset connections and dependencies.
Executives from Lansweeper and Redjack, in an interview with CRN, said the melding of the two companies’ technologies will create a platform that provides IT management and cybersecurity teams with complete visibility into every asset that touches an organization’s network—known or unknown, managed or unmanaged— across enterprise, cloud and edge IT environments.
“It’s all about the power of the solution after you integrate them,” said Redjack CEO Greg Virgin, noting that the acquisition combines the IT asset inventory capabilities of Lansweeper’s platform with network traffic and application dependency data from Redjack’s system. “We go find it all.”

Terms of the acquisition, which is complete, were not disclosed. The two companies said that the transaction encompasses Redjack’s technology, customers, partner ecosystem and workforce.
Redjack’s staff is joining Lansweeper through the acquisition: Decneut said Redjack’s expertise was part of the attraction. “We’re super excited about the Talent at Redjack,” he said.
Lansweeper, headquartered in Merelbeke, Belgium, develops technology that provides complete visibility across an IT estate, including IT, IoT, software and operational technology assets. The company has nearly 400 employees and about $100 million in annual recurring revenue, Roel Decneut, Lansweeper chief strategy officer, said in the interview with CRN.
Redjack, based in Silver Springs, Md., develops an IT asset discovery and inventory system that provides IT managers with AI-powered information about communications and dependencies between IT assets. Virgin said Redjack’s products are often used as part of customers’ cybersecurity and system disaster recovery/resilience efforts.

Decneut said the addition of Redjack’s technology to the Lansweeper system will generate IT estate data and insights that Lansweeper’s customers are seeking for zero trust security initiatives and third-party risk management, and use cases around disaster recovery, business function mapping and application dependency.
In the acquisition announcement the two companies said integrating their platforms’ capabilities “accelerates Lansweeper’s product roadmap, enhancing coverage of unmanaged and transient assets while providing Redjack customers with richer asset intelligence data.”
“By automatically mapping dependencies, the integrated solution gives IT, security, and finance teams the context they need to prioritize vulnerabilities, streamline migrations, and control costs,” the companies said.
The combined platforms will even help IT managers better understand how an organization’s IT assets are communicating with systems outside of a corporate network, the executives said in the interview.
The two companies have already been working to integrate the Lansweeper and Redjack systems and have developed several proof-of-concept integrations that are being tried out by early-adopter customers. Decneut and Virgin said the companies plan to combine their products through a couple of stages that will likely last through the end of the year.
About 30 percent of Lansweeper’s business is done through the channel, including solution providers, MSPs and ISVs, while partners are involved in nearly all Redjack sales, according to the executives.
Decneut said partners will benefit from the expanded capabilities of the combined Lansweeper and Redjack platforms, providing them with a more complete offering for engagements around cybersecurity, business continuity/disaster recovery and other use cases. Partners with ITSM services will benefit from the ability to better understand application dependencies.
Virgin said partners will benefit from the “breadth and depth” of the combined systems’ functionality “and they’re going to be able to leverage AI on top of those capabilities,” he said. And by automating IT management functions that are more labor-intensive today, partners can focus on delivering more value-added services, the Redjack CEO said.
Lansweeper also said it “remains fully committed to uninterrupted and support” for all Redjack customers.
