NASHVILLE, Tenn., July 21, 2025 /PRNewswire/ — Omni Family Institute, a leader in trauma-informed and evidence-based care, is proud to announce the launch of the Together Facing the Challenge (TFTC) app, a dynamic new tool designed to strengthen child placement agencies and equip caregivers with real-time, actionable support.

The app will officially launch on Monday, July 21 at the Family Focused Treatment Association (FFTA) Conference in New Orleans, Louisiana. Attendees can explore the app in action, ask questions, and experience firsthand how it enhances the nationally recognized TFTC model.

Together Facing the Challenge is a proven, evidence-based training and coaching model built specifically for child placement agencies. With more than 30 years of impact and recent endorsements from both the Title IV-E Prevention Services Clearinghouse and the California Evidence-Based Clearinghouse for Child Welfare, TFTC has demonstrated effectiveness in improving outcomes for youth in care. Now, this model is even more accessible and impactful through the new app.

“Our new app is a practical, intuitive tool that helps agencies and caregivers stay connected, aligned, and supported,” said Mindy Kiser, President of Omni Family Institute. “It’s more than technology—it’s a tool that drives real outcomes by enhancing relationships, reducing burnout, and helping children thrive.”

The TFTC app is designed to supplement—not replace—core training and in-person coaching. It provides on-the-go access to trauma-informed resources, simplifies documentation, and strengthens communication between agency staff and caregivers. By supporting consistency, connection, and accountability, the app extends the impact of the TFTC model beyond the training room and into everyday practice.

Key features include:

  • Real-time behavior tracking and progress visibility
  • Efficient, app-based communication between staff and caregivers
  • Easy access to trauma-informed care resources and training content
  • Simplified documentation and fidelity tracking

Grounded in both research and lived experience, Together Facing the Challenge equips agencies to sustainably implement trauma-informed care, coach caregivers more effectively, and improve outcomes for youth.

With the launch of the TFTC app, Omni Family Institute is taking a bold step forward in supporting those who care for children impacted by trauma—ensuring they are not only trained, but truly equipped for success.
