From Atera Autopilot to ConnectWise SIEM To NinjaOne RMM, here are 10 of the coolest MSP tools of 2025.

With the rapid rise of generative AI and a renewed focus on operational efficiency and cybersecurity, the spotlight is on tools that can help MSPs scale smarter, faster and more securely.

Today’s most innovative MSP platforms are not just optimizing workflows, they’re redefining how MSPs operate altogether.

Atera Autopilot, for example, is built on Azure OpenAI and acts like a junior IT technician embedded directly into Slack or Microsoft Teams. It autonomously resolves up to 40 percent of Tier 1 IT issues like password resets or printer failures.

Similarly, tools like Kaseya IT Glue are streamlining documentation. With real-time integrations into Kaseya’s endpoint management suite, IT Glue automates data capture across client environments reducing response times and improving visibility across devices.

Security is another major theme. With SonicWall’s MPSS (managed protection service suite), MSPs see 24/7 firewall monitoring, expert support and a unified control platform. It empowers MSPs to offer enhanced protection backed by real-time threat detection and managed response.

Even backup and disaster recovery (BCDR) is getting a facelift. Slide BCDR stands out with its ability to fully saturate 10-gigabit connections to deliver fast backups.

And for MSPs looking to reduce manual work without hiring developers, Rewst’s RPA offering delivers no-code workflow automation. Its built-in ROC (robotic operations center) not only guides teams through automation design but actively recommends and refines workflows based on usage.

Whether it’s about eliminating low-value tasks, boosting team capacity or providing airtight security, these tools represent the best of what’s available to MSPs right now helping them deliver higher-quality service, streamline operations and stay competitive in a rapidly shifting tech landscape.

Here are the 10 of the coolest MSPs tools out there so far this year.

Atera Autopilot

Atera Autopilot is an AI platform designed to autonomously detect and resolve Tier 1 IT issues in real time without human intervention.

Embedded into communication tools like Microsoft Teams and Slack, Autopilot functions as a junior IT technician and handles common requests such as password resets and printer issues. Powered by agentic AI, Autopilot currently resolves up to 40 percent of Tier 1 IT issues, a figure Atera expects to grow. Even when escalation is needed, the tool prepares detailed diagnostics and suggested fixes saving technicians up to 90 percent of the preliminary work.

Built with Microsoft on Azure OpenAI, Autopilot ensures enterprise-grade privacy and compliance. In the future, Atera aims to further enhance Autopilot’s diagnostic scope and increase resolution rates over the next year.

Kaseya IT Glue

Kaseya’s IT Glue is a centralized IT documentation tool that streamlines operations, reduces response times and improves service quality for MSPs. With its automated documentation capabilities, IT Glue allows MSPs to save time by automatically capturing and organizing data across client environments.

One of the key strengths of IT Glue is its integration with Kaseya VSA (virtual system administrator) that provides complete visibility into all managed endpoints by automatically pulling in real-time data from VSA into IT Glue.

With IT Glue, MSPs can access endpoint information across all clients and devices, embed IT documentation directly into service tickets and execute agent procedures and scripts from within the IT Glue configuration pages.

Slide BCDR

Slide’s BCDR tool offers flexible support for on-premise environments and is designed to overcome the performance and integration limitations of legacy systems. One standout feature is Slide’s ability to fully saturate 10-gigabit network connections which enables faster backup and recovery speeds. Rather than walling off its ecosystem, Slide also collaborates with fellow vendors like ScalePad, which is integrating Backup Radar within Slide’s system.

With future updates planned, including enhanced billing tools and expanded integrations, Slide’s goal is to be a comprehensive, security-focused tool tailored to MSPs.

N-able N-Central RMM

N‑Central RMM enables device management, whether in the cloud or on-premises, through GenAI-assisted scripting, pre-built service templates and extensive script libraries. It allows MSPs to map client networks, deploy templates and automate routine tasks to reduce technician workloads.

The tool also boosts operational efficiency with advanced analytics for performance monitoring, trend analysis and progress tracking. With N-Central, MSPs can patch any network environment on a schedule or on demand with full reboot control and deliver updates and feature upgrades for Microsoft, Apple and third-party applications.

HaloPSA

HaloPSA enables MSPs to streamline operations, manage tickets, projects and billing from a single platform. The cloud-based tool offers built-in RMM integrations, time tracking, automated workflows and customer relationship management (CRM) capabilities.

Additionally, it allows MSPs to stay connected while also supporting inventory and asset management. It helps identify and log issues early, allowing MSPs to maintain control over all assets, items and contacts in one centralized location.

Rewst RPA

Rewst’s RPA (robotic process automation) tool allows for seamless integration of user tools without the need for coding or agents. MSPs can build and visualize workflows on an intuitive canvas bridging gaps between disparate tools.

The robotic operations center (ROC) further enables MSPs to create, launch and refine custom workflows which offers guidance through platform onboarding, feature development and automation deployment. The ROC also recommends relevant workflows, enhances existing ones, and monitors active automations to ensure optimal performance.

SonicWall MPSS

SonicWall’s Managed Protection Service Suite (MPSS), unveiled this year, is a part of a major transformation aimed at redefining how MSPs deliver cybersecurity to clients. The launch introduced a cloud-native platform designed to meet increasing cyber threats and market demands.

At the center of the rollout is SonicPlatform, a unified offering that enables simplified management of firewalls, secure access, endpoint protection and policy enforcement. MPSS builds on this with always-on firewall management supported by SonicWall’s SonicSentry NOC and MXDR teams , giving MSPs access to expert support, 24×7 monitoring and configuration guidance.

“MSPs are under pressure to not only protect but financially back their services,” SonicWall CEO Bob VanKirk told CRN. “We’ve now given them the ability to walk into a client and say, ‘We stand behind our protection, literally.’”

Syncro XMM

Syncro’s XMM (extended monitoring and management) is a cloud-based tool, built in partnership with Microsoft, that merges remote RMM, PSA and multitenant Microsoft 365 administration into a single interface.

It integrates directly with Microsoft Secure Score, Defender Antivirus and Entra ID enabling automated compliance monitoring and enhanced threat detection. Features include AI-powered ticket triage, security baselines, real-time compliance alerts and centralized device and client management.

“Today’s MSPs are grappling with a complex maze of tools and mounting security threats,” Syncro CEO Michael George told CRN. “With XMM, we’re giving them a smarter way to work—reducing complexity, strengthening security and scaling more efficiently.”

NinjaOne RMM

NinjaOne’s RMM tool combines automation with an intuitive interface to deliver operational efficiency. Key benefits include boosting technician productivity by up to 95 percent with out-of-the-box automations and proactively alerting and automating remediation, reducing ticket volumes by 94 percent.

Real-time monitoring and alerting instantly detects issues and notifies technicians; and one-click device actions execute remote tasks, deploys fixes and manage devices. Additionally, MSPs can choose from four integrated access tools for hands-on support; automate routine processes like installations, reboots and updates; and maintain IT documentation, processes and credentials natively within the platform. The RMM tool also boasts automation patching and remediation.

ConnectWise SIEM

ConnectWise’ SIEM (security information and event management) delivers advanced threat detection, intelligent automation and unified visibility in a streamlined interface all to reduce complexity, cut costs and boost productivity.

Key features include centralized monitoring, machine learning-driven threat detection, automated alert triage and customizable dashboards. The solution also offers efficient data management to address the cost challenges of legacy SIEM systems.
