WATCH: Introducing the AcuRite Optimus Weather Station

The new AcuRite Optimus weather station sports an all-new ultracompact design for its outdoor sensor while still providing unmatched weather reporting accuracy. Designed in the U.S. with rigorous testing, the AcuRite Optimus includes revamped and novel features that maximize outdoor performance.

An internal aspirating fan ensures maximum accuracy for temperature and humidity readings, and a patent-pending pest-repellant chamber prevents pesky insect damage. The sleek and stylish outdoor sensor wirelessly relays its measurements to an all-new high-definition TFT in-home display with a customizable “flex view” window for personalized weather reporting.

“It’s an exciting time for us at AcuRite,” said Jeff Bovee, Vice President of Product at AcuRite. “Exciting for our team, exciting for our loyal customers, and exciting for folks who care about staying connected to the weather but may not want a sizable device posted in their backyard. Now, they’ll be able to enhance their smart home with a modest yet high-tech sensor that provides them with everything they need to confidently plan their day.”

In addition to being the most sophisticated AcuRite weather station, the AcuRite Optimus is also the most durable. The outdoor sensor boasts automotive-grade materials to withstand strong winds, heavy rains, and blanketing winter storms.

Launching alongside the AcuRite Optimus is a new mobile app called AcuRite NOW. Available on the Apple App and the Google Play stores, AcuRite NOW grants on-the-go weather insight measured by the AcuRite Optimus. In an easy-to-navigate format, users can view real-time weather measurements, access historical data, and set custom weather alerts for their most valued conditions. The new AcuRite NOW app also seamlessly connects to smart home devices to automate various weather-related tasks dependent on the user’s smart home setup.

The new AcuRite Optimus is available for purchase now on AcuRite.com.

The AcuRite brand is part of Chaney Instrument Co., a division of the Primex Family of Companies (PFOC). PFOC is a family-owned business founded and headquartered in Lake Geneva, Wisconsin. Founded in 1943, Chaney Instrument Co. and its AcuRite brand are leaders in weather and home monitoring solutions.
