The new president of Cisco Canada Raj Juneja is filling the seat left by Shannon Leininger, who moved on to become vice president of global partner sales for the tech giant in October.

Cisco Systems has a new president of its Canadian operations: former Splunk Canada leader Raj Juneja.

Juneja is taking over as Cisco’s Canadian president from Shannon Leininger, who led the geography for four years before being appointed to vice president of global partner sales for Cisco in October.

The move comes as Cisco continues to revamp its executive leadership team as it digests its massive Splunk acquisition, and as the company is in the midst of a transformation in favor of a unified networking and security story.

Following the close of the $28 billion Splunk acquisition last year, the tech behemoth added former Splunk CEO Gary Steele to its ranks as its president of go-to-market. In August, Jeetu Patel, formerly Cisco’s executive vice president and general manager of security and collaboration, was promoted to chief product officer. The refreshed executive leadership team is indicative of a transforming Cisco, partners told CRN in November.

Juneja joined Cisco at the close of the Splunk deal in March where he led Splunk’s Canada business as country manager since 2022. Prior to his role with Splunk, Juneja served in several roles at Salesforce’s MuleSoft including vice president of sales and financial services for Canada and regional vice president of sales. He began his career and spent 21 years at CA Technologies, which was acquired by Broadcom in 2018.

“It’s a privilege to take on this role at such an important time for Canada, our customers and partners, and the industry,” Juneja said in a statement published Tuesday. “Al, cybersecurity, and the network have never been more important. The decisions and investments organizations make today will set the stage for future growth and success. I’m excited to work with our employees, customers, and partner ecosystem to deliver value and create a more secure and connected future.”

Juneja’s tenure as president of Cisco Canada will be effective on February 1, according to the San Jose, Calif.-based tech giant.
