Google’s global chief marketing officer for Workspace, Harris Beber, is leaving the collaboration and cloud giant.

Google’s Workspace global chief marketing officer, Harris Beber, is leaving the collaboration and cloud giant to join software company Monday.com as its new CMO.

Beber led global marketing for Google Workspace for the past two years, helping launch and drive adoption of AI innovations across the full Workspace product suite.

“Making the decision to leave a job you truly love is always filled with mixed emotions,” said Beber on LinkedIn.

He initially joined Google in 2022 as chief marketing officer of Waze where Beber scaled global marketing efforts and helped lead the integration across Google’s portfolio.

“I’ve had the immense privilege of leading some of the most amazing people I’ve ever worked with, contributing to two products I’ve always admired: Waze and Google Workspace,” Beber said. “My confidence in my team and their continued accomplishments is unwavering. I know they’ll keep driving the growth of Workspace and delivering an outsized impact.”

Beber will become CMO of global software firm Monday.com effective July 3, after he departs Google at the end of this month.

During Beber’s tenure, Google Workspace launched a slew of new artificial intelligence and generative AI innovation inside its flagship collaboration suite.

Google Workspace has also undergone massive transformation over the past two years with major Workspace price and channel partner changes, including adding Gemini AI inside Workspace free of charge for customers.

Google Workspace Leader Departs

Beber isn’t the only top executive at Google Workspace who has recently departed.

In April, Jerry Dischler, Google’s president of cloud applications and leader of Google Workspace, announced his departure from the company after nearly two decades.

Dischler oversaw the Workspace collaboration software suite as well as integrating AI tools into customers’ environments.

Workspace comprises Google’s communication products like Gmail, Google Meet, Google Chat, Calendar, Google Drive, Docs, Sheets, Slides, Sites, and Groups.

Beber New CMO Position

Beber will lead Monday.com’s global marketing organization, overseeing the company’s marketing strategy including brand, performance, demand generation and communications.

He will report to co-founders and co-CEOs Roy Mann and Eran Zinman.

The Monday.com Work OS is a low-code/no-code platform that gives organizations the ability to easily build work management tools and software applications to fit their needs.

The software company, which has dual headquarters in New York City and Tel Aviv, Israel, has over 2,500 employees and roughly 245,000 customers who use Monday.com to manage their work.

The company generated revenue of $282 million during the first quarter of 2025, representing a 30 percent growth rate year over year.

Monday.com said it is currently evolving its marketing approach to move beyond traditional B2B marketing to embrace more creative storytelling, which spurred the hiring of Beber.

“I’ve long admired the [Monday.com’s] mission to make work more collaborative and efficient, and its unique marketing approach, “said Beber in a statement. “I look forward to working with the incredible team to contribute meaningfully to this next phase of growth.”
