Groundbreaking Pilot Program Streamlines H-2 Visa Process, Expected to Boost Petition Volume Through Unified Digital Platform

Partnership introduces MiChamba, a mobile app for seamless worker onboarding, documentation, payroll, and employer communication and preventing fraud in the H-2 process.

AUSTIN, Texas, Aug. 5, 2025 /PRNewswire/ — Workforce management technology leader H2 Organizer announced today a pioneering partnership with the Government of El Salvador to launch a comprehensive pilot program that eliminates traditional bottlenecks in the H-2 visa process. The collaboration is expected to significantly increase H-2A and H-2B petition approvals for Salvadoran workers by providing U.S. employers with an unprecedented “single pane of glass” management solution.

For years, U.S. agricultural employers have faced lengthy delays and administrative hurdles when sourcing temporary workers from Central America. This innovative partnership directly addresses those pain points by digitizing and streamlining the entire process from initial recruitment through daily workforce management.

The Minister of Foreign Affairs of El Salvadore, Mrs. Alexandra Hill Tinoco emphasized the transformative potential:

“Through the Labor Mobility Program, we have made significant progress in strengthening partnerships with companies that trust the talent of Salvadorans, recognizing their high productivity and resilience. We are also working to identify and secure more development opportunities that allow them to work temporarily in the United States,” stated Minister of Foreign Affairs Alexandra Hill.

Furthermore, Minister Hill emphasized that this synergy will broaden the range of Salvadoran worker profiles, highlighting their talent in the service sector as well as in areas such as landscaping, fish processing, among others—thereby increasing access to formal employment opportunities.

The timing couldn’t be more critical. Despite strong demand from U.S. employers for temporary agricultural workers, processing delays and administrative complexity have historically constrained the flow of workers from the Northern Triangle region. This pilot program is designed to prove that technology can eliminate these bottlenecks while maintaining full compliance standards.

“This partnership represents a quantum leap forward in how governments can support their citizens while solving critical labor challenges for international employers,” said Brian Gannon, Vice President of Government and Strategic Partnerships at H2 Organizer. “By eliminating the traditional bureaucratic bottlenecks, we’re not just making the process easier – we’re opening the door for significantly more H-2 opportunities for Salvadoran workers.”

Gannon continued: “The H2 Organizer technology offers a vital tool to level the playing field that ensures transparency, compliance, and opportunity for Salvadoran workers and U.S. employers alike.”

The pilot program introduces MiChamba (Spanish for “my work”), a mobile application that seamlessly integrates with H2 Organizer’s enterprise platform. This dual-technology approach allows U.S. employers to manage their entire temporary workforce – from visa application to daily operations – through one unified system, while providing workers with direct access to essential employment services.

The partnership will deliver immediate value and opportunities for Salvadorean workers through the Pilot test that will be conducted with Labormex and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
