HP unveils AI PCs for every user type, from the entry-level worker to on-the-go executive change agents, reinventing the enterprise market.

Every PC maker is betting that this is the year the device will see a resurgence as Windows 10 end of life and new AI features backed by more powerful NPUs and the latest generation of CPU chips make their way to everyday office work.

Amid a slew of new PCs being introduced at this week’s CES 2025, HP Inc. took home three innovation awards, including one for its powerful 2-in-1 Omnibook Ultra Flip, another for its embedded AI Companion that will come preloaded on many of its devices, and a third for its physical material scanner that incorporates on-device Nvidia processors to allow creators to fold, shape and design with the substances it captures.

At CES 2025, HP also unveiled two categories of high-end commercial AI laptops that it has designed to meet the moment: the HP EliteBook X and the HP EliteBook Ultra.

“We are super excited to announce two new additions to our premium laptop series,” said Jinyu Mao, HP’s senior director of product planning, in a statement. “People now want tools that can enable them to work faster, think more creatively and connect on a deeper level. … That’s why HP is very much committed to creating technology that fits every workers’ needs. This commitment is to deliver the right devices to the right users with the right experiences that is reflected in the expansion of our laptop portfolio.”

Here are the new offerings HP unveiled at CES 2025.

OmniStudio X Series

HP’s OmniStudio X Series is an all-in-one desktop PC. The Intel-powered machine comes with either a 26-inch or 32-inch display. Each screen features a 4K display, immersive surround sound and a front-facing 5-megapixel IR camera with Poly Camera Pro. The camera integrates with Windows Hello for seamless logins. The device’s internals isolate a user’s voice and then filters out background noise while the camera improves lighting and optimizes image clarity.

Each model comes equipped with Intel Core Ultra 200V series NPUs with up to 47 trillion operations per second (TOPS).

HP OmniStudio X All-in-One Desktop Next-Gen AI PCs are available in 27- and 31.5-inch models and are expected to be available on HP.com in January for a starting price of $1,149.99.

OmniBook Ultra Flip

HP’s OmniBook Ultra Flip is a powerful next-gen AI business notebook for tech experts and business consultants.

It has 55 TOPS of NPU performance inside a 2-in-1 flip tablet-to-PC design that lets users adapt to working conditions while interacting with a 3K-resolution, touch-screen OLED display.

The OmniBook Ultra Flip leverages an Intel Core Ultra processor Series 2 with a dedicated AI engine, delivering up to 20 hours of battery life.

Buyers will get a free upgrade to Windows Copilot Plus and have access to HP’s embedded AI Companion to ask, discover and get intelligent assistance to analyze and query personal files.

The PC weighs 2.97 pounds and comes in Atmospheric Blue and Eclipse Gray.

HP EliteBook Ultra G1i

HP says this Lunar Lake-powered laptop is designed for office go-getters with 1.6 times faster performances around AI-generated emails and 2.2 times quicker AI-enabled webinar creation.

It features a 9-megapixel camera, dual microphones and four speakers for better videoconferencing. The Ultra G1i also has a large haptic track pad on a business notebook, giving users tactile feedback with smooth scrolling on a 120Hz OLED screen. This model has a “flip” version that allows it to be turned into a write-on notebook using a finger or the HP Active Pen G3.

The EliteBook Ultra G1i will be available on HP.com later this month for a starting price of $2,019.

HP EliteBook X G1i

The latest Intel processors power the EliteBook X, which has a 14-inch, 2.5K resolution, touch-screen display and tips the scales at just over 3 pounds. The NPU delivers 48 TOPS for 1.7 times faster performance on some generative AI tasks than the EliteBook 1040 G10.

It’s an enterprise-class product designed for “dynamic leaders” who are constantly on the move connecting with stakeholders, HP’s Mao said. HP said this machine is also tailored toward road warriors. It comes in a “flip” configuration that uses the rechargeable Active Pen G3 for free-handed writing and drawing on the screen.

HP’s AI Companion, meanwhile, integrates with the machine for users to ask advice, create ideas, change PC settings or converse with a digital entity.

The EliteBook X G1i is slated to be available on HP.com in February for a starting price of $1,999.

HP ZBook Ultra G1a

HP is calling the ZBook Ultra Ga the “world’s most powerful 14-inch mobile workstation.” It comes in a thinner frame that can now push out workflows that were not previously possible in a laptop.

This model cuts more than a pound of plastic and metal to make it lighter than the previous workstation with the new one coming in at 3.46 pounds, down 1.22 pounds from the mammoth 4.68-pound predecessor.

The new ZBook also has HP Vaporforce Thermals, which provides greater exhaust for heat circulation. It offers up to 14 hours of battery life as well as “onlooker detection,” which blurs the screen if its camera sees someone peeking over the user’s shoulder.

The HP ZBook Ultra G1a is expected to be available on HP.com/z in the spring. Pricing will be announced closer to availability.
