Initial focus on key New Jersey financial market venues with dedicated fiber IRUs and connectivity services from 10 to 400 Gbps

CHICAGO, Ill. and ORLANDO, Fla., Nov. 2, 2026 /PRNewswire/ — McKay Brothers and Relativity Networks today announced a partnership to develop and expand hollow-core fiber networks for financial services and growing compute demand. The companies will initially focus on interconnecting key financial market venues in New Jersey, with expansion into other markets.

McKay has selected and purchased Relativity’s ChronoCore™ anti-resonant hollow-core fiber for commercial deployment in its New Jersey networks. The companies are combining Relativity’s technology and roadmap with McKay’s experience developing and operating networks. The design includes branches for high-capacity, low-latency interconnection to data center development projects near key financial corridors, where customers are developing inference and training infrastructure.

McKay is offering long-term indefeasible rights of use (IRUs) on dedicated hollow-core fiber pairs for the networks. It will also offer traditional connectivity services from 10 Gbps to 400 Gbps for customers with a range of requirements.

“We have worked with successive generations of hollow-core fiber for nearly a decade. Relativity offers the best technical solution we have evaluated for the networks we want to build,” said Tim Boyle, Chief Operating Officer of McKay Brothers. “For critical U.S. market infrastructure, IP provenance and security of supply matter alongside performance. Relativity’s strong U.S. patent portfolio and roadmap, enabled by Prysmian’s proprietary fiber and cable production, give us the confidence to invest for the long term. New Jersey is just the start.”

ChronoCore’s low dispersion, coupled with optimal route design, supports more capacity and longer reach with fewer active optical components. Reducing intermediate regeneration lowers power and real estate requirements. McKay is designing the networks to reduce the total cost of carrying data, deliver lower latency and make both benefits available to all market participants.

“McKay brings nearly a decade of experience putting hollow-core fiber to work in demanding environments, from data centers and outside plant to towers and integrated fiber-wireless networks,” said Jason Eichenholz, Founder and CEO of Relativity Networks. “That experience spans the routes and real estate needed to build and operate networks. That makes McKay the right partner to develop this opportunity with us and serve the growing infrastructure needs of AI inference. McKay’s partnership and purchase mark an important commercial milestone for Relativity and provide a foundation for expanding financial-market networks and advancing the network infrastructure of the AI economy together.”

“The intersection of power availability and real estate determines where compute gets built,” Boyle added. “Our aim is to connect more of those locations to the existing financial ecosystem. That means more choice about where customers access live data and run applications, including AI inference, while improving synchronicity between market centers.”

About Relativity Networks

Relativity Networks builds advanced optical networking technology for the world’s most latency-sensitive applications. At its core is the company’s patented ChronoCore™ hollow-core fiber, which enables data to travel roughly 47 percent faster than through conventional glass fiber, dramatically reducing network latency.

ChronoCore™ reduces the time it takes data to travel between trading venues, exchanges and data centers, providing a significant advantage in markets where every microsecond matters. ChronoCore™ also gives AI and data-center operators greater flexibility to locate compute where power is available, while reducing the latency penalties created by distance.

Designed to integrate with existing network infrastructure, ChronoCore™ provides a practical path to higher-performance networks without requiring a wholesale redesign of the systems around them.
