Expanded product line delivers AI-ready cooling from rack to 10MW+ facility scale

SAN RAMON, Calif., Sept. 8, 2025 /PRNewswire/ — Nautilus Data Technologies, a leader in facility-scale liquid cooling, announced today the debut of its expanded offerings in the EcoCore COOL Cooling Distribution Unit (CDU) product line – the next generation in liquid cooling infrastructure engineered to meet the demands of AI and high-performance computing (HPC). Purpose-built for scale, sustainability and speed, the EcoCore COOL CDUs deliver unmatched capacity, efficiency and reliability.

With global data center power demand expected to surge by up to 165% by 2030, driven by the increasing use of AI workloads, operators must move beyond the limitations of air cooling without incurring ballooning costs or a larger carbon footprint. Backed by more than 400,000 unit hours of operational experience in one of the world’s only fully liquid-cooled AI data centers, Nautilus offers a proven, real-world solution.

The expanded product line introduces two new CDUs: EcoCore XCD and EcoCore RCD, now providing operators with a complete range of AI-ready solutions. The full CDU product line includes:

  • EcoCore XCD: Nautilus’s new, ultra-capacity CDU, delivering up to 10MW of heat rejection per containerized module and featuring our patented degassing system.
  • EcoCore FCD: EcoCore COOL’s flagship CDU, the facility-wide CDU up to 4MW of heat rejection per module, with total capacity scaling linearly as units are added for high-density cooling and N+ redundancy.
  • EcoCore RCD: The new in-row CDU, designed for localized cooling that delivers up to 2.5MW at the rack, offering maximum flexibility in space-constrained deployments.

This infrastructure-first approach delivers unmatched efficiency and eliminates wasted white space, offering modular, right-sized cooling solutions that scale seamlessly from individual racks to entire facilities. This makes it ideal for both greenfield builds and retrofit projects.

“AI workloads are scaling far beyond what air cooling can handle,” said Rob Pfleging, CEO of Nautilus. “By expanding our CDU offerings, Nautilus is ensuring operators have the tools to deploy flexible, energy-efficient and future-proof cooling infrastructure wherever and however they need it.”

The EcoCore COOL CDU family seamlessly integrates with Nautilus EcoCore Infrastructure. This modular and prefabricated system accelerates AI readiness far faster than traditional retrofits.
