Nutanix has acquired Ryax Technologies with plans to boost Nutanix’s GPU utilization and agentic AI applications’ ROI capabilities for customers, providing huge new opportunities for Nutanix partners.
“Once the integration is complete, we plan to introduce these advanced GPU utilization and smart scheduling capabilities that our partners can bring to our joint customers,” Debo Dutta, Nutanix’s chief AI officer, told CRN.
Nutanix’s purchase of France-based Ryax aims to empower enterprises to build, run and govern agentic AI anywhere by integrating the Ryax platform’s advanced GPU utilization and smart scheduling capabilities directly into Nutanix Kubernetes Platform and Nutanix Enterprise AI.
“These capabilities will help us and partners deliver greater value by expanding the use cases supported across the Nutanix portfolio,” Dutta said.

Founded in 2017, Ryax is an AI-driven compute orchestration and management platform provider.
The financial terms of the deal were not disclosed.
Nutanix’s Acquisition And Integration Plans For Ryax
Dutta said GPU shortages and fragmented infrastructure have led many businesses to split their compute footprint across private data centers, hyperscalers and neoclouds to find available capacity.
“Agentic AI requires flexible architecture, simple operations and the ability to use infrastructure far more efficiently,” said Dutta.
“By combining Ryax with our hybrid cloud platform, we’ll help enterprises handle back-end complexity and seamlessly deploy, scale and manage AI workflows wherever their infrastructure lives,” he added.
In addition, Dutta said enterprises often struggle to move AI projects from experimentation into production because of the significant infrastructure integration and manual configuration required.
Ryax’s platform is designed to solve these challenges by automating the underlying infrastructure, data, hardware and code to help customers deploy AI projects faster, more cost-effectively and more reliably.
Nutanix plans to integrate the Ryax platform into future releases of Nutanix Kubernetes Platform and Nutanix Enterprise AI.
Nutanix’s ‘Differentiation’ Partner Play And Two Key Use Cases
Dutta said Ryax’s capabilities will expand Nutanix’s portfolio at a time when demand for smart scheduling and GPU optimization is growing, “helping customers run agentic workloads more efficiently while strengthening Nutanix’s differentiation in the market.”
“Supporting agentic AI workloads while maximizing utilization of existing infrastructure is creating new opportunities for Nutanix and its partners,” he added.
With the Ryax platform, Nutanix is targeting two critical architectural capabilities for customers: intelligent resource optimization and AI-aware smart scheduling.
For AI-aware smart scheduling, customers will be able to automatically place AI workloads on cost-effective hardware to help maximize performance and budget.
On the intelligent resource optimization side, the Ryax platform enables customers to make the most effective use of available computing resources, such as GPUs and CPUs, to improve performance and reduce waste.
Together, these capabilities are designed to help customers advance AI initiatives by improving infrastructure efficiency, managing costs, and making better use of available hardware.
Nutanix And Ryax CEOs Weigh In
The Ryax Technologies team will join Nutanix in France and will continue to drive this transformative technology forward.

Ryax Technologies CEO Andry Razafinjatovo said in a statement that his company’s platform was built to give enterprises seamless execution across hybrid infrastructure, handling the back-end complexity so teams can deploy, scale and manage AI workflows from day one.
“By combining our technology and talented team with Nutanix and its hybrid cloud platform, we will further empower organizations to accelerate their agentic AI initiatives seamlessly, wherever their infrastructure lives,” Razafinjatovo said.
