Stocks making the biggest moves midday: Goldman Sachs, Webull, Worthington Steel, Micron & more

Check out the companies making the biggest moves midday: Banks — The group fell, with pressure coming from longer-dated Treasury yields rising to levels not seen in 24 years. Citigroup , Wells Fargo and Goldman Sachs fell nearly 2% each. JPMorgan Chase , Bank of America and Morgan Stanley were all down around 1%. Webull — Shares tumbled 20% after CNBC reported that a congressional panel found that Webull’s ties to the Chinese government create a national security risk . NetApp — The stock rose 3%, bucking the broader market, after an upgrade to outperform from in line at Evercore ISI. NetApp has “upside without needing a significant contribution from products that are only beginning to ramp,” Evercore said. Worthington Steel — The metals processing company tumbled 10% after earnings for the first quarter came in sharply lower than the year-ago period. Worthington Steel earned 57 cents per share on an adjusted basis, compared to 77 cents a share a year earlier. The period’s results reflect the impact of the company’s acquisition of a majority interest in Klöckner & Co. Penguin Solutions – The builder of artificial intelligence factory platforms advanced 15% after fourth quarter results surpassed expectations. Adjusted earnings came in at $1 per share on revenue of $566.7 million. Analysts polled by FactSet sought 77 cents per share and $521 million in revenue. Constellation Brands — Shares added 2% after the company reported better-than-expected results for its fiscal second quarter. The beer distributor earned $3.74 per share on revenue of $2.63 billion. Analysts polled by FactSet expected a profit of $3.55 per share on revenue of $2.54 billion. Micron — Shares rose 3% Wednesday after D.A. Davidson said it expects the chipmaker to triple. “AI models generate better results with more memory, run faster with more memory, and have longer context windows with more memory. That observation is driving the increases in demand that is due to outstrip supply in 2027 and 2028,” the firm said about Micron. — CNBC’s Paulina Likos and Darla Mercado contributed reporting.
