Stocks making the biggest moves midday: T-Mobile, Verizon, AT&T, Crown Castle, Teva & more

Check out some of the companies making the biggest moves midday: Telecom providers – SpaceX moved to boost its Starlink Mobile service , heightening competition concerns around legacy telecom carriers. T-Mobile plunged 13%, and AT & T and Verizon by 10% each. Cellular tower companies surged: Crown Castle climbed 12%, SBA Communications added 6%, American Tower advanced almost 8%. Teva Pharmaceutical Industries – Shares gained 6% after Teva announced that the Food and Drug Administration approved Weltruza, the company’s monthly long-acting injectable treatment for schizophrenia in adults. Avient — The chemical and plastics maker fell more than 7% after CEO Ashish Khandpur stepped down , to be replaced by Mike Frank. Archer Aviation – The developer of electric vertical take-off and landing aircraft gained 3% after Barclays assumed coverage of the stock with an overweight rating. The bank set a price target of $8, suggesting about 69% upside from Thursday’s close. Delta Air Lines — The airline fell almost 2% after reporting weaker-than-expected third-quarter earnings . Delta earned an adjusted $1.72 per share on revenue of $17.59 billion. Analysts polled by LSEG expected a profit of $1.75 per share on revenue of $17.67 billion. Delta blamed higher fuel costs for cutting its full-year earnings outlook. Lumentum — Shares jumped about 7% after the company’s CEO Michael Hurlston said that Lumentum’s optical components are sold out through 2029. He said Lumentum will struggle to meet as much as 70% demand for some products through next year. Managed care providers — Insurers reacted as the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services rolled out its 2027 Star Ratings on its Medicare Plan Finder for open enrollment this fall. Shares of Humana soared 12% after the insurer’s largest Medicare Advantage contract saw its rating improve. Alignment Healthcare plunged almost 14%. Apple — Shares were down nearly 2% after Nikkei Asia reported that the company was cutting component orders for its iPhone 18 Pro following weaker-than-expected demand. Nikkei added that October production orders for that device and the iPhone 18 Pro Max were cut by 15% from original plans. Park Aerospace — The manufacturer of composite materials for the aerospace market lost 9%. Park earned 21 cents per share on revenue of $20.8 million in the second quarter. That compares to 12 cents a share and $16.4 million in the year-ago period. The stock is still ahead 25% so far in 2026. Freeport-McMoRan — The miner gained 3% as gold prices climbed. U.S. gold futures for December delivery were up 1.4% on Friday. — CNBC’s Davis Giangiulio, Darla Mercado and Fred Imbert contributed reporting
