The 50 Hottest Edge Hardware, Software And Services Companies: 2026 Edge Computing 100

CRN’s list of the 50 hottest edge computing hardware, software and services companies of 2026 includes some of the most innovative AI, cloud, chip, networking, server, storage and infrastructure providers on the planet.

When it comes to edge computing, hardware is king for now in terms of how much companies are spending in this area. But that may change in 2029 when spending on services is projected to surpass hardware investments for edge projects.

That’s according to IDC’s forecast from earlier this year that the edge computing market will nearly double in 2029 from the $265 billion mark it hit in 2025.

While the “rapid adoption of AI-accelerated infrastructure and increasingly sophisticated edge systems” is making hardware the top category for spending in the edge world, services could come out on top in a few years due to faster sales growth that is happening with Infrastructure-as-a-Service offerings, according to the research firm.

What’s driving this is the need for organizations to have “scalable, flexible and cost-efficient consumption models” that will help them “meet rising AI-driven compute requirements at the edge,” IDC wrote in February.

“As more workloads shift toward distributed and AI‑enabled environments, as‑a‑service offerings provide a critical foundation for managing capacity, optimizing costs and accelerating deployment across diverse industry use cases,” the research firm said.

As part of CRN’s 2026 Edge Computing 100, here are 50 vendors that are making big moves in the hardware, software and services categories.
