GNSS receivers employ new technology to deliver comprehensive anti-jamming and anti-spoofing capabilities, better performance and future-ready support for low-earth orbit constellations to OEM integrators

WESTMINSTER, Colo., Sept. 10, 2026 /PRNewswire/ — Trimble today unveiled its next-generation GNSS technology with the debut of the new Trimble BD1090, BD1092, BD1092i and BX1092i receiver modules deploying the Trimble® Maxwell™ 8 technology. These advanced receivers enable OEM integrators serving the geospatial, marine, construction and mining industries to utilize precision in the world’s most challenging environments.

Trimble unveiled its next-generation GNSS technology with the debut of the new Trimble BD1090, BD1092, BD1092i and BX1092i receiver modules deploying the Trimble® Maxwell™ 8 technology.

The BD1090, BD1092, BD1092i and BX1092i receivers feature Maxwell 8 GNSS technology that delivers significantly increased performance, operational productivity and efficiency, and superior resilience with new anti-jamming and anti-spoofing capabilities to address today’s challenging signal security environment.

“These receivers are the first in a lineup of advancements we’re taking to significantly improve operational efficiencies and reduce downtime for companies utilizing Trimble technology,” said Ron Bisio, president, field systems at Trimble. “In response to the growing prevalence of intentional jamming and spoofed signals, Trimble continues to lead the way in delivering resilient precise positioning solutions. With a proven track record of first-to-market innovations, we stay ahead of the curve with best-in-class GNSS technology to anticipate issues and improve performance.”

Critical to reducing costly downtime in industries such as construction, marine and mining, Trimble’s GNSS technology builds on a history of innovation, including the enhanced Trimble ProPoint® positioning engine for superior performance in challenging environments, Trimble IonoGuard™ technology to protect from ionospheric disruptions and Trimble RTX-NMA, the industry’s first anti-spoofing solution designed to authenticate satellite signals beyond Galileo.

These new boards and technology build on this innovation with the introduction of Trimble JammerGuard™ — a comprehensive anti-jamming and anti-spoofing capability. Featuring advanced anti-jamming that deploys automatically and independently, and anti-spoofing security to ensure the position reported is real, JammerGuard provides a powerful defense mechanism for positioning signals. Enabling receivers to handle jamming broadly, it far exceeds typical anti-jamming technologies that mitigate a select few jammer types rather than the full spectrum.

In addition to JammerGuard, Maxwell 8 enabled receivers introduce several advancements that significantly elevate performance, including:

  • “All-in-view” tracking: Expanded channel capacity enables simultaneous multi-constellation and multi-frequency reception, driving superior positioning accuracy, continuous signal availability and verified data integrity.
  • Upgraded processing power: Featuring a quad-core CPU with DDR4 RAM, Maxwell 8 offers four times the processing power of its predecessor to handle stronger sensor fusion and other complex computations.
  • Superior performance in high-vibration environments: Complemented by MEMS-based oscillators, providing 10 times lower vibration sensitivity to improve performance during vibration.
  • Future ready: Designed for compatibility with emerging Low Earth Orbit (LEO) constellations, such as the demonstration mission signals from Xona Pulsar. As global positioning infrastructure evolves, customers can rely on Trimble for best-in-class disruption mitigation and innovation.
  • Enhanced precision: Better-performing IMU for superior orientation and stability.

With this new product lineup, customers can operate in higher shock and vibration environments, utilizing more satellites which enables operations in obstructed environments and in locations where interference and jamming is active. The combination of increased processing power, superior anti-jamming and anti-spoofing additions provides customers a future-ready solution, allowing Trimble to focus on industry-leading performance for the most critical applications.

“Evaluating Trimble’s next-generation anti-jamming technology has delivered improved results for Van Oord. In our dredging, infrastructure and offshore energy operations across the Middle East and the Baltic region, I have seen a much more resilient system with clear diagnostics when GNSS jamming occurs,” said Wim Balvert, workshop and innovation manager at Van Oord, a leading international marine contractor.

The new receivers and advanced technology will be on display at:

  • ION GNSS+ 2026, Sept. 14-18 in Orlando. Trimble will be at booth 212
  • INTERGEO 2026, Sept. 15-17 in Munich. Trimble will be in hall B6, booth D035
