Logitech MX Master 4 offers Windows 11 haptic support via firmware update

IT teams managing Windows 11 deployments can now enable native haptic feedback on existing Logitech MX Master 4 devices through a simple firmware update.

Logitech has enabled native haptic feedback support for Windows 11 on its MX Master 4 mouse, offering IT departments a straightforward path to deploy the feature across existing hardware. The update, available now through Logi Options+, requires the latest version of Windows 11 and eliminates the need for hardware replacement or complex configuration.

The integration allows users to receive tactile feedback during common productivity tasks, including object alignment in PowerPoint and window snapping or resizing. Microsoft and third-party application developers are expected to expand haptic support in the coming months.

For IT leaders overseeing Windows 11 migrations, the firmware-based approach reduces deployment friction. Devices already in use can be updated, while new units shipping this fall will include the capability out of the box.

“Logitech integrated advanced haptic hardware into the MX Master 4 ahead of native OS support, anticipating a shift toward more responsive operating systems,” says Art O’Gnimh, General Manager of Mouse and Keyboard Solutions at Logitech. “With the launch of Windows 11, that engineering foresight pays off. We have delivered a zero-friction, meaningful experience that remains the only one of its kind in the industry.”

“With advanced haptics in Windows 11, everyday interactions are more responsive, clear and natural,” says Dave Dame, Senior Director of Human-Centered Design, Microsoft. “MX Master 4 delivers that experience from day one, extending interactions beyond the screen and setting a new bar for how hardware and software come together.”

As of May 20, 2026, the MX Master 4 is the only productivity mouse offering native Windows 11 haptic integration via firmware update. The device is designed to support future application-specific profiles and developer integrations as the Windows 11 ecosystem expands
