Security upstart Fletch’s agentic AI capabilities will be blended into F5’s four-month-old Application Delivery and Security Platform (ADSP), the two companies revealed on Monday.

Application delivery and security specialist F5 has acquired Fletch, a cybersecurity startup, for its agentic AI capabilities that will be integrated into F5’s Application Delivery and Security Platform (ADSP), the two companies revealed on Monday.

Fletch’s mission has been to simplify cybersecurity by turning overwhelming amounts of data and threat intelligence into actionable insights for security teams, according to Grant Wernick, Fletch’s founder and CEO. Now together with F5, Fletch’s autonomous AI agents baked into F5’s ADSP will give enterprise and partner IT teams intelligent, explainable insights across apps, APIs, and infrastructure.

“Agentic AI represents AI that doesn’t just process data—it takes proactive action,” Wernick said in a statement.

Financial terms of the deal are not being disclosed as the transaction will not have a material impact on F5’s operating results, according to a spokesperson for F5.

Seattle-based F5 in February launched its ADSP, which integrates the company’s three separate point products — BIG-IP, distributed cloud services, and NGINX technology — into a single place for complete delivery and security for every application, the company revealed at F5’s annual AppWorld 2025 event.

“By adding Fletch’s agentic AI capabilities to our platform, we can provide even deeper insights, real-time threat intelligence, and proactive security recommendations that empower teams to stay ahead of threats,” F5’s Chief Innovation Officer Kunal Anand said in a statement on the acquisition.

San Francisco-based Fletch’s technology will help F5 accelerate security outcomes across apps, APIs, and infrastructure, F5’s Anand said.

“With F5 ADSP plus agentic AI, we’re not just reacting faster; we’re predicting smarter and protecting better. This is a big leap forward for intelligent, AI-native security,” he said.

Six-year-old Fletch had 15 employees, 13 of which joined F5 via the acquisition, according to the F5 spokesperson.
