Wiz Unveils MSP Program To Boost Cloud, AI Managed Security Services: Exclusive

The new program from Google-owned Wiz includes the launch of the Wiz Tenant Manager and consumption-based billing, and should enable MSPs and MSSPs to ‘scale their Wiz practices significantly,’ Channel Chief Andy Ritchie tells CRN.

Wiz is introducing a new MSP program as part of its expanding channel strategy, with the aim of enabling partners to accelerate delivery of managed services around the company’s cloud and AI security platform, the company told CRN exclusively.

The launch of the Wiz Partner Alliance Managed Service Provider Program comes as the “challenges facing our customers are exponentially increasing” when it comes to cybersecurity, Wiz Channel Chief Andy Ritchie (pictured) said in an interview.

With the new Wiz MSP program, “we believe that this will give our partners the opportunity to really scale their Wiz practices significantly into their broad customer bases,” said Ritchie, vice president of worldwide channels and alliances at Wiz.

The program brings together enhancements for MSP partners of Google-owned Wiz including centralized management of customer environments, along with consumption-based billing, according to the company. The Wiz Partner Alliance MSP Program is currently in public preview.

The company first unveiled its revamped Wiz Partner Alliance program in December 2025, just months ahead of the completion of Google’s $32 billion acquisition of the startup in March 2026.

Key updates in the new MSP program include the launch of the Wiz Tenant Manager for providing a consolidated view of customer environments and tools, enabling easier management of multiple customer tenants—including across multi-cloud environments, according to the company.

Using the Wiz Tenant Manager, MSPs and MSSPs can create and retire tenants, manage environments and invite customers with existing Wiz tenants to be transferred into their managed services practices, Ritchie said.

When it comes to enabling the transfer of existing Wiz tenants to MSPs and MSSPs, “that is a key need,” he said—given the large number of Wiz customers, many of which have been serviced by large partners to date.

The Tenant Manager tool also allows MSPs to group tenants and apply common security policies across those groups, while retaining policies specific to individual customers, Wiz said.

The new capabilities provide enhanced support for managed security services built around the Wiz AI Application Protection Platform (AI-APP), providing improved visibility and controls across cloud and AI environments, according to the company.

The program also includes dedicated Wiz support and rolls out additional training to enable partners around the use of Tenant Manager, management of integrations and resolution of issues related to service delivery, Ritchie said.

Partner Perspective

For MSSP partners of Wiz such as Foresite, the new Wiz program provides a massive opportunity to make it easier to deliver cloud security consistently across a growing customer base, said Jeremy Hehl, chief evangelist at Overland Park, Kansas-based Foresite.

“I think the friction, honestly, in cloud security services has really never been the technology,” Hehl told CRN. “I think it’s been the overhead of running 50 environments at one time.”

Thus, removing that overhead—and consolidating those environments—offers the promise of “turning cloud security posture from a project into a practice,” he said.

Centralized management means that Foresite security analysts won’t have to waste time switching between customer accounts, allowing more time for actually assessing threats across environments, Hehl said.

“For us at Foresite, that means our analysts are actually not logging in and out of multiple customer environments,” he said.

“We have the ability to take signals from the outside—think, a new threat or a zero-day or some type of malicious behavior across an attack vector—and basically manage all of those tenants, all of those customers’ environments, from a centralized administrative console,” Hehl said.

The reality is that while there are “a lot of technologies that talk about doing that effectively,” fewer truly deliver in that regard, he said.

However, with Wiz, “now that we’re seeing that in demo practice, I can tell you it’s going to be a game changer and a little refreshing,” Hehl said.

Consumption-Based Billing

The new Wiz MSP program also aims to simplify matters for managed service partners on the financial side, according to the company.

As part of the program, MSPs will be able to pay based on consumption, with charges billed monthly in arrears, Ritchie said.

“The partners have the ability to manage that environment and do it on a consumption basis,” he said—noting that in practice, this is “not actually that easy to do.”

However, in addition to getting the technology aspect right for MSPs, providing them with simplified consumption-based billing “was really important to us,” Ritchie said.

The program also enables partners to provision customer environments without requiring annual commitments upfront, according to Wiz.

‘An Independent Organization’

Crucially, while the acquisition by Google has brought additional resources to Wiz, the independence of its partner program—as well as its multi-cloud approach—have not changed, Ritchie said.

“We’ve built it in a way which is independent to Google and to their managed services offering,” he said. “It’s an independent program [and an] independent organization.”

Given that many customers operate across multiple clouds, partners—many of which likewise work with AWS and Microsoft—must be enabled to protect those environments regardless of the underlying provider, according to Ritchie.

Ultimately, “this managed services offering is a true multi-tenant offer—across multi-cloud environments—because customers exist in multiple clouds,” he said.
