HaloPSA’s Latest N-able, Rewst Integrations Are ‘Automated, Synchronized, Revenue-Saving Engines’: Exec

‘We’ve made what used to be high-end enterprise automation accessible for every MSP, and we’re just getting started,’ says HaloPSA’s Tim Barton-Wines.

HaloPSA announced new partnerships and integrations with N-able and Rewst last week, underscoring its rapid growth and status as “the most integrated partner within the N-able ecosystem.”

“No other vendor integrates as deeply across the N-able stack as Halo,” Tim Barton-Wines, executive at HaloPSA, said from the stage at N-able’s Empower event in Berlin last week. “This includes tighter integrations with N-central, Insight, Cove and MDR making us the definitive PSA choice for progressive MSPs.”

Starting May 1, N-able partners using N-central can expect “significantly richer, more frequent device data syncing” into Halo as well as with automated subscription billing, reducing human error and saving hours on back-office processes.

Additionally, Halo’s integration in N-able/Adlumin’s MDR (managed detection and response) allows MSPs to streamline threat management directly within their PSA (professional services automation) through automated workflows. Burlington, Mass.-based vendor N-able acquired Adlumin in November 2024.

Stowmarket, U.K.-based vendor Halo also now integrates with N-able’s Cove offering, which includes automated billing for backup subscriptions to remove manual reconciliation efforts.

“These aren’t just integrations, they’re automated, synchronized, revenue-saving engines,” Barton-Wines said. “The tech between N-able and Halo is now more tightly aligned than between any other PSA and RMM pairing on the market.”

The Halo executive also announced a partnership with Tampa, Fla.-based automation vendor Rewst to bring high-end automation capabilities to everyday MSP workflows.

Rewst has launched a dedicated Halo automation pack, accessible via the Rewst platform, which enables full automation of complex processes such as user onboarding and offboarding, according to Barton-Wines. These workflows can now be executed with minimal human input which reduces technician effort and increases service desk throughput.

“It just made sense, considering the cool things Halo is doing and what we’re working on to support the community, especially around automation,” Rewst CRO Charles Tomeo told CRN. “If you look at their direction, they’ve really focused on making things more hands-off for MSPs. They’ve done part of that already, but their goal is to take it all the way, particularly with onboarding and offboarding. It’s about giving MSPs not only access to one of the better next-gen PSAs, but also layering automation on top to really streamline operations.”

MSPs can now experience a zero-touch new starter request via Halo’s customizable service catalog. They can automatically provision users in Microsoft 365, assign groups, apply licenses and confirm actions all within seconds. Offboarding processes are similarly seamless by automatically revoking access, deleting accounts and logging completions.

“This is about democratizing high-end automation,” Barton-Wines said. “Whether you’re a five-person team or managing 1,000-plus techs like Microsoft’s Cloud Resourcing division, you can achieve true zero-touch operations out of the box. We’ve made what used to be high-end enterprise automation accessible for every MSP, and we’re just getting started.”

Tom Wyant, owner of Traverse City, Michigan-based MSP Wyant Technologies, is a Halo, Rewst and N-able partner.

“What a great time to be alive,” he told CRN about the integrations. “When I started as an MSP, this was all manual. Now, we’re using Rewst with Halo and Cove to automate the service desk. We’re using Rewst for user onboarding and offboarding, Cove to ensure backups are getting run at sun-up and Halo for just about everything else. There’s so much we can do in Halo. We’ve built a lot of custom fields into our ticket, and I can pull all that data into Rewst to actually do things with it eliminating tech time, reducing errors and making sure everything gets done right.

“Even if you have amazing processes, something’s going to get missed eventually,” he added. “But with this setup, we don’t have to worry about that anymore.”
