Torq ‘REVs’ Up Channel Efforts In The Agentic SOC Space—Exclusive

With its new Revenue Enablement Velocity channel growth platform, Torq is offering services margin protection, expanded enablement resources, and more for partners who can work with the company’s next-generation agentic security operations center system.

Agentic security operations startup Torq is launching a major initiative today to provide channel partners with expanded marketing and technical enablement resources, 100-percent services margin protection, and more in a bid to help partners rapidly expand into the surging AI SOC market.

The new Torq REV (Revenue Enablement Velocity) channel growth platform is geared to help resellers, global systems integrators, managed security service providers (MSSPs), and managed detection and response (MDR) partners leverage Torq’s agentic SOC (Security Operations Center) platform to replace legacy SOC products installed by customers.

“It’s partners that can deliver high-value outcomes. And increasingly, in this AI world, it’s high-value AI outcomes specific to the SOC,” said Sheldon Muir, Torq head of global channels & alliances, in an exclusive interview with CRN.

The REV launch comes as business and organizations look to replace legacy SOC technologies and fragmented AI cybersecurity tools with unified AI SOC platforms, according to the company.

AI SOC is currently “the hot space” right now with “SOC transformation happening everywhere,” Muir (pictured) said. (Torq boasts that its cybersecurity technology can automate up to 90 percent of Tier 1 and Tier 2 security workloads.)

“AI SOC is the fast-growing market in cybersecurity, but not every vendor believes partners should benefit from that growth,” said Ofer Smadari, Torq co-founder and CEO, in a statement. “Some companies are replacing the channel with their own managed services businesses. We believe exactly the opposite. Our partners are the force that transforms enterprise security, and Torq REV was purpose-built to help them win more deals, build larger server practices, and lead the AI SOC transformation.”

Torq, which follows a 100-percent channel-first go-to-market strategy, has recorded 150 percent year-over-year channel revenue growth since 2025, according to the company.

The company’s partner roster includes such cybersecurity channel heavyweights as Carahsoft, Cybersellex, GuidePoint Security, Infinigate, Merlin Cyber, Optiv, RSM, Saepio Solutions, UltraViolet Cyber, and World Wide Technology (WWT).

“What really stood out to me about Torq was how quickly the value resonated with the customer,” said Daniel Palmer, client director at Optiv, in a statement. “Torq saw the opportunity to use automation and AI to simplify complex security operations, improve efficiency, and ultimately help teams focus on what matters most. It has been incredibly rewarding to help bring Torq into an enterprise environment and to see the excitement around what’s possible.”

“World Wide Technology has long helped partners translate new technology into durable outcomes for customers, and Torq REV extends that same rigor to the AI SOC market,” said Mike McGlynn, chief information security officer at WWT, also in a statement. “We’ve felt that value firsthand. Torq’s AI and automation technology has strengthened WWT’s own security operations team, and that’s exactly why we’re excited to see REV bring the same results to more of our customers.”

Torq REV builds on the company’s Torq Partner Acceleration Program that launched in June 2023. That included Torq Academy for pre- and post-sales partner training, ISC2 certification, and other enablement resources.

“We’ve made a significant investment in channel resources as it relates to enablement,” Muir said. “The concept being driving those high-value outcomes.”

Torq REV Details

Torq REV is designed to support multiple channel sale and go-to-market motions including resell for VARs and distributors expanding into AI SOC; resell plus services for solution providers and global systems integrators delivering implementation and transformation services; and MSSPs and MDR for managed security providers that build next-generation AI SOC offerings with multi-tenant capabilities and consumption-aligned economics.

The company emphasizes that with Torq REV partners own the customer relationship, deliver the services, and capture the long-term-value created by AI-driven security operations.

Muir says the “V” in REV is particularly important for Torq’s current stage of development. “It’s about scale,” he said. “We’re at the point now with Torq where the scale is really starting to happen.”

Topping the list of REV offerings is a 100 percent services margin guarantee, giving partners who are Torq Academy certified first rights to deliver services for specific clients. And Torq will pay an additional five points of contracted guaranteed product margin who deliver these high value services, Muir said.

Muir said the goal is to encourage partners to make the necessary investments in AI SOC service development and delivery capabilities. “We want the client to have a stellar outcome,”

Torq has created a channel marketing team, including channel business development managers, to work with partners to identify and target likely customers for SOC transformation, Muir said.

Under REV the company is also promising a 10-days-to-revenue timeline from partner contract signing to live co-selling, joint marketing investments, co-branded campaigns, roadmap collaboration, and dedicated support to build long-term AI SOC practices.

“Our strategy is simple. We don’t compete with our partners for services revenue—we create more of it,” CEO Smadari said. “Evert AI SOC deployment creates opportunities for transformation consulting, implementation, managed services, optimization, and long-term customer success. When our partners grow, Torq grows.”
