Patent-pending platform uses wearable QR technology to bridge the physical and digital worlds

SEE. SCAN. CONNECT.

LOS ANGELES, Sept. 8, 2026 /PRNewswire/ — ShareAScan transforms apparel, accessories and everyday objects into digital connection points. The QR code is the doorway: someone scans it, and the platform opens the digital experience its owner has chosen to share.

That experience can include text, photographs, videos, music, social profiles, portfolios, businesses, shops, causes or other content. Unlike a conventional QR code tied to one fixed destination, ShareAScan content can be changed repeatedly without replacing the code or physical product.

Now ShareAScan.com, the patent-pending social technology platform founded by sisters Shara and Kailey Zuckerman, will be included in this year’s Emmy nominee and presenter gift bags.

ShareAScan was inspired by watching people sit together while communicating through their phones instead of talking face to face. Shara and Kailey Zuckerman envisioned using familiar technology to reverse that behavior—turning the smartphone into a bridge to real-world conversation rather than a barrier between people.

“Traditional social media pulls people into a feed. ShareAScan begins in the physical world and can become the start of an actual conversation,” said Shara. Kailey added, “We believe the next social network will not simply be somewhere you log into. It will exist in the world around you.”

The Maryland-based company is being built by two young women while they are still students. Shara is in college studying business, finance and artificial intelligence, while Kailey is still in high school. Their experience includes Shark Tank-style competition victories and the Wharton Global High School Investment Competition.

ShareAScan is built around user control. Owners decide what they share, when they share it and who can see it. A single product can become a changing introduction, portfolio, personal message, business card, creative showcase or invitation to connect.

Its inclusion in the Emmy nominee and presenter gift bags represents a significant milestone for the sisters and their vision of technology as a bridge, not a barrier.

THE QR STAYS. THE CONTENT CHANGES.
